The Secretary General of the Arab Islamic Council, Mohamad Ali El Husseini, received an invitation from the Council of Muslim Elders to participate in the Summit of Convergence of Consciences and Uniting Spiritual Leaders for the Revival of the Planet, scheduled to be held on the sixth and seventh of November in Abu Dhabi.
El Husseini is participating alongside a number of religious figures from around the world to identify the challenges of the climate crisis and the global challenges facing humanity, and ways to approach and deal with them, especially the moral responsibilities of religious leaders in addressing the climate crisis.
The conference aims to advance environmental sustainability, through cooperation between religion and science, based on the shared responsibility of all religions to preserve planet Earth.
El Husseini will make a scientific and intellectual contribution to the conference by focusing on the role of religions in spreading awareness about how to properly use natural resources, address the climate crisis, and enhance ways to protect the environment.
It is noteworthy that this extremely important summit is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and is organized by the Council of Muslim Elders, headed by His Eminence the Grand Imam Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, Sheikh of Al Azhar Al Sharif.
